Before reporting a noise complaint

Try to resolve the issue informally before contacting us. You can speak to the person causing the noise or write to them. Mediation may also help.

Talk to your neighbour or the person responsible

Speak to the person causing the noise as soon as possible and explain how it affects you.

Write to your neighbour or the person responsible

If you prefer not to speak face to face, you can write a letter. Keep a copy for your records.

You can use our noise letter templates to help you write your message.
