Core Strategy
The Core Strategy sets out the vision, spatial strategy and strategic planning policies which have been used to shape development in the borough since its adoption in July 2011. The 15 year plan period of the Core Strategy comes to an end in July 2026.
Updates
As the government has withdrawn the Code for Sustainable Homes and removed consideration for energy requirements from national policy and guidance, no weight can be given to matters set out in the first paragraph of Core Strategy Policy CS27 'Sustainable Buildings'. There is also no longer a need to complete a Climate Neutral Checklist.
