Animal welfare licences

Dangerous wild animal licensing

To keep a dangerous wild animal, you will need a licence, see The Dangerous Wild Animals Act. 

A 2 year licence costs: £578.

We inspect any premises, in conjunction with a consultant vet, before granting a licence and annual inspections prior to renewal of the licence.

To get a licence, read the guidance notes then complete and return the application form:

The Dangerous Wild Animals Act does not apply to any dangerous wild animal kept in a zoo or circus, which are registered under different legislation.

  • 1 Savannah (F1 Hybrid) Cat
  • 1 Serval Cat
