To make sure Housing Benefit awards stay up-to-date and accurate, we will contact you regularly to get confirmation about your claim.
If you are not self-employed
To check if your current claim details are correct, log into My Account and select the letter dated 28 February 2025 titled: EOY Benefits Statement.
If the details of your income, rent and capital are the same as in the Benefits Statement:
Complete the no change declaration form
If something has changed or is wrong with the information held in the Benefits Statement:
Complete the change in circumstances form
If you are self-employed
If you are self-employed and have been asked to complete a self-employed review:
Complete the self-employed earnings information form
If you have audited accounts or a profit and loss statement, you will need to upload a copy of this as evidence. We cannot accept HMRC tax returns as proof of income.
