We have installed EV charging points in our main town centre car parks. This includes new underground power cables so we can add more charging points where needed in future.

- Claygate Centre for the Community* (Elm Road, Claygate KT10 0EH)
- Cobham Community Hub* (Oakdene Road, Cobham, KT11 2LY)
- Community Transport, (River Mole Business Park, Mill Road, Esher KT10 8BJ)
- Hersham Centre for the Community* (7 Queens Road, Hersham KT12 5LU)
- St Peter's Community Hub in Molesey* (Bishops Fox Way, West Molesey KT8 2AS)
- Walton Community Hub* (Manor Road, Walton-on-Thames KT12 2PB)
*The charges at the community hubs and centres for the community are available for public use from 4pm to 9am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. All day Wednesday, weekends and bank holidays.
Charger specifications
At each location:
- four fast charging points (11 to 22kW)
- each twin charger provides a maximum of:
- 22kW to one vehicle
- 11kW to two vehicles when both sockets are in use
Fees
Fees: £0.47 per kWh.

Park & Recharge operate the EV chargers in:

- Hollyhedge Road car park (Cobham),
- Churchfield Road car park (Weybridge),
- Civic Centre car park (Esher),
- Highwayman’s Cottage car park (115 Portsmouth Road, Esher KT10 9LG)
- Walton Road (104 Walton Road, East Molesey KT8 0ST).
Sites accept payments through the Park & Recharge app. Contactless card payments are also available at Ashley Road (Thames Ditton), Highwayman’s Cottage (Esher) and Walton Road (East Molesey).
Clenergy operate the EV chargers in Drewitts Court car park, Claygate Community Centre, Cobham Community Hub, Hersham Community Centre, St Peter's Community Hub (Molesey) and Walton Community Hub.
Parking charges apply during operational hours.
Future plans
The move away from petrol and diesel towards electric-powered vehicles helps to reduce carbon emissions and improve our local air quality.
Expanding EV charging infrastructure is complex and involves stakeholders such as private businesses, distribution network operators and local authorities.
As part of our next phase, we are expanding our EV charging points provision with a rolling programme of installations in the following council pay and display car parks, which is estimated to be complete in summer/autumn 2026:
- Halfway car park, Walton-on-Thames
- Hare Lane car park, Claygate
- Mayfield Road car park, Hersham
- Station Avenue car park, Walton-on-Thames
