Digital resident off-peak car park permits

Guidelines: MiPermit user guide for digital off-peak permits

You can access the MiPermit website from any device.

Usage of virtual permits is subject to the terms and conditions.

Purchasing your virtual permit

  1. You do not need to register in advance to use the MiPermit system. Your account will be created for you when you buy your first permit. 
  2. On the MiPermit website homepage, click on the relevant permit for you.
  3. Choose the car park you would like to purchase a permit for from the drop down menu.
  4. Please provide and upload proof of residence, as shown on MiPermit.
  5. Please provide and upload proof of vehicle, as shown on MiPermit.
  6. Please provide your vehicle registration, then start date and your duration. 
  7. If you would like your permit to automatically renew check the Auto Renewal checkbox. 
  8. If you do not check the Auto Renewal option you will be reminded by email 14 and 7 days before your permit is due to expire. You will then be able to log into your account and renew it before it expires. 
  9. Fill in the owner details of the vehicle. 
  10. You will need to enter your email address and agree to the terms and conditions to proceed with your purchase. 
  11. Select ‘Submit’.

Once your application is received and approved

  • When your application is received you will receive a confirmation email, and a login PIN for you to access your account. Your application will be forwarded to Parking Services, Elmbridge Borough Council for authorisation. If they have any questions, they will contact you direct.
  • Once approved, you will receive an email notification asking to login into your account and pay for the permit.
  • Once your purchase is complete your permit is valid, you will not need to display anything in your vehicle. 
  • If you change your vehicle you can log in to your MiPermit account to change the registration number. You must upload proof of the new vehicle, as explained in point 8 above.
