National Walking Month is a great opportunity to get moving, enjoy the fresh air and explore more of Elmbridge on foot. Whether it’s a gentle stroll or a brisk walk, every step supports your health, wellbeing and the environment.
Organised by Living Streets, the campaign encourages everyone to fit 20 minutes of walking a day into everyday routine.
You can also join the free Elmbridge Ramblers Wellbeing Walks, led by friendly, trained volunteers. With daily walks across the borough, there are options for all, including all-inclusive walk and wheel routes, historical walks, weekly and monthly walks around Claygate, Hersham, Molesey, Walton-on-Thames, Esher Common, and on the Thames towpath. There are also free bookable walks at Claremont and Painshill.
These walks are part of a wider programme, with walks happening every day across Elmbridge and neighbouring boroughs. With different routes, destinations and gradients to choose from, there’s something to suit all abilities. Check the programme of Elmbridge Wellbeing Walks.
Our volunteer walk leaders would love to meet you and help you get started.
