The Women’s Hub at Voices of Hope, Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre and Elmbridge Borough Council are pleased to present Silent No More, a moving exhibition created by women who have experienced domestic abuse and who have explored recovery and built confidence and wellbeing through the arts.
Taking place on 1 April at Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, Walton‑on‑Thames, the exhibition features photography, personal stories, quotes, textiles, craftwork and a collaborative mural which were all produced through a series of supportive workshops led by Voices of Hope.
Each piece offers a glimpse into individual journeys of courage and healing, while together highlighting the strength and resilience that comes from shared experience and community support.
Speaking about the project, Sarah Clay, CEO of Voices of Hope, said:
Silent No More is a deeply powerful event. It is an inspiring and challenging evening that centres survivors’ voices through the power of storytelling and the arts. We are immensely proud of the courage and leadership shown by survivors across our three hubs, whose voices and creativity shape this event.
Cllr Kirsty Hewens, Portfolio Holder for Enterprise, Parking and Local Economy, added:
We are committed to raising awareness of domestic abuse and ensuring that support is available for those who need it. This exhibition is about the resilience of local women and the importance of community response. We are grateful to Voices of Hope and all project partners for creating a space where these stories can be shared with dignity and respect.
The exhibition is free to visit and all are welcome to visit. Find out more.
