Walton Community Festival

We’re proud to support the Walton Community Festival at Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre on Saturday 23 May, from 11:30am to 4pm. The festival is a free community event with activities for all ages.

Join us for a celebration of creativity, culture and community heritage. Enjoy a full programme on the outdoor stage featuring performances from local choirs, youth theatre, Morris dancing and singer-songwriters throughout the day.

Take part in hands‑on craft workshops, including the chance to print your own silk‑screen Walton‑on‑Thames postcard to take home as a unique keepsake.

What’s happening on the day:

Community parade

A colourful parade will travel from Cowey Sale to Sullivans Park, featuring Grovelands Primary School, Molesey Scout Band, Our Art Club and more. Everyone is welcome to join in.

Outdoor stage

Scoot Youth Theatre, Molesing Choir, We Are The Voice, Bell Farm School Choir, Morris dancers, Simon & Ronnie, and Tim Hazell (Riverhouse Barn’s Historian‑in‑Residence), plus more performers to be confirmed.

Stalls and activities

Walton Charity, Eco Hub, Elmbridge CAN, Walton Repair Café, Sarracee Jewellery, QuMoo Design, Riverhouse Enamellers, Willowmead Potter, Silverpasta Crafts, Linda Powell Design, Imogen’s Art Table, Rebekah’s Mindful Doodling, Woodcraft Walton Group and the African Community of Surrey, with more joining soon.

Alongside the performances and activities, the day will include a free talk by the Barn Historian, exploring the fascinating history of the British May Fair.

With something for all ages, the festival offers a great opportunity to discover local talent, try something new and enjoy a fun day out with neighbours, friends and family.
