Are you a customer or regular visitor of Hurst Pool in Molesey, or do you live nearby?
We’d love for you to join us at one of our upcoming drop-in information sessions to hear more about the refurbishment plans for this much-loved community facility.
Hurst Pool will be closing at the end of March to undergo a full transformation, to turn it into a modern, sustainable and welcoming space for everyone who swims, trains or simply enjoys visiting the pool.
Working together with our leisure partners Places Leisure, who will be overseeing the refurbishment, we are holding informal drop-in sessions at Hurst Pool. These sessions are an opportunity for you to explore the plans, learn how swimming provision will continue during the temporary closure, and share your thoughts and questions with the team.
Drop-in Session Dates
- Wednesday 25 February: 10am–11am and 5:30pm–7pm
- Thursday 5 March: 12pm–1pm and 5:30pm–7pm
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a regular swimmer, a local resident, or someone with an interest in the future of this important community space.
Cllr Simon Waugh, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Culture and Commercial Strategy, said,
We’re excited to be taking the next step in delivering a modern and sustainable Hurst Pool for the community. These drop-in sessions are a chance for residents and customers to see what’s planned, understand how we’ll support swimmers during the closure, and share their views. We look forward to hearing from everyone as we are working towards the future of this much-loved facility.
Michael Cross, General Manager at Places Leisure, said,
We know how important Hurst Pool is to residents and swimmers, and we’re committed to supporting the community throughout the refurbishment period. While the pool is temporarily closed, we’ll be working closely with the council to ensure customers have access to alternative swimming options so they can stay active and informed. We’re pleased to be involved in delivering these improvements and look forward to speaking with residents at the drop-in sessions to answer questions.
