We are continuing to invest in the borough and support local high streets and villages with a package of parking measures:

  • no increase to parking charges across the borough
  • 30 minutes’ free parking in all village and town centre car parks
  • in town centres, free evening parking will start earlier at 6pm (previously 7pm), supporting restaurants, cafés, bars, cinemas

Whether you are in Claygate, Cobham, Esher, Hersham, Long Ditton, Molesey, Oxshott, Thames Ditton, Walton-on-Thames or Weybridge, the changes are designed to make it easier and more affordable to shop local, spend time in town and village centres, and support Elmbridge businesses.

These measures build on our commitment to investing in our community and helping our high streets to thrive.

Councillor Kirsty Hewens, Portfolio Holder for Enterprise, Parking and Local Economy said:
“We know how important our town and village centres are to our communities. These parking changes make it easier for residents to pop to the shops, meet friends or enjoy an evening out, while supporting the brilliant local businesses that make Elmbridge such a great place to live.

“By freezing parking charges and introducing more free parking, we’re making a clear investment in our high streets and helping them continue to flourish.”
