Due to recent wildfire incidents, residents are being reminded that barbecues, campfires, fire pits and all other naked flames are prohibited in Elmbridge’s parks, commons and open spaces under a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO).
With the current hot and dry conditions, the risk of wildfires is high. Fires can spread quickly, putting people at risk and causing serious damage to wildlife, habitats and the environment.
Help protect our green spaces by leaving BBQs and naked flames at home and disposing of cigarette ends responsibly.
If you see a fire, move to a safe location and call 999 immediately.
If you witness anti-social behaviour, report incidents straight away so that our enforcement officers can respond quickly.
