Upcoming changes to car park payment machines: enhancing security and convenience

Car park with cars in bays

As a response to customer concerns about payment scams and thefts when paying for parking, we are taking steps to improve the customer experience in our car parks. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be installing new pay and display machine front panels and removing the pin pad and card reader components. By removing the pin pad and card reader components, we are reducing the risk of card skimming and other fraudulent payment activities.

Rest assured, our car parks will continue to offer various payment options, including contactless payments, coins, and RingGo, as well as pre purchased permits. In some car parks with multiple machines, you may find a machine that is contactless-only, however, every car park will continue to have a cash payment option.

Additionally, due to the increased use of RingGo, we will be removing five underused machines. This change will not affect the availability of payment options or the overall use of the car park.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we make these improvements to ensure a safer and more convenient parking experience for everyone.
