New signage in local parks and open spaces

New open space sign at Hurst Meadows

We are pleased to announce the installation of new noticeboards in open spaces and recreation grounds across the borough. These modern noticeboards replace the outdated information points, making it easier for park visitors to access up to date relevant information on our website about on-site amenities and useful contact details for reporting any issues.

This initiative is part of a broader series of improvement works aimed at enhancing local parks and recreation grounds. Over the past few years, Elmbridge parks have seen significant upgrades, including the refurbishment of play areas and tennis courts, new bins and the introduction of more sustainable flowerbeds and tree planting throughout the borough.

Looking ahead this year, the council has planned further enhancements, including the refurbishment of green gyms and sports courts, the installation of a new splash pad, and additional improvements to play areas as part of a rolling programme.

Councillor Simon Waugh, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Culture and Commercial Strategy, said, "We are thrilled to introduce these updates, which will significantly enhance the visitor experience in Elmbridge parks and open spaces. These improvements reflect our commitment to providing welcoming and enjoyable public areas for both residents and visitors."
