The Mayor of Elmbridge, Cllr Neil Houston, will host a charity firewalk event at Painshill Park, Portsmouth Road, Cobham, KT11 1AG, on Thursday, 20 March 2025.

The event, in collaboration with Firewalk UK, aims to raise funds for Home-Start Elmbridge and The Mayor of Elmbridge Trust. Participants will walk barefoot over 20 feet of 800-degree hot coals.

The event will begin with a participant briefing at 5:30pm, followed by the main event at 7pm. The entry fee is £25, and places are limited. You are encouraged to sign up soon.

A large marquee will host a raffle, BBQ, hot and cold drinks, and music from Baz at Brooklands Radio. Attendees are welcome to bring family and friends for support.

About the charities

Home-Start Elmbridge is a voluntary organisation dedicated to supporting families with at least one child under five years old. The organisation provides practical and emotional assistance to families facing challenges such as illness, poverty, isolation, domestic violence, and poor mental health.

The Mayor of Elmbridge Trust supports vulnerable families within Elmbridge by providing funding for essential household items, educational expenses, and disability equipment not covered by the NHS.

Supporters can sponsor through The Mayor of Elmbridge Firewalk to contribute to these great local causes.
