Come and explore what’s on offer at the Weybridge Community Hub at the Weybridge Library Hub’s Community Open Day on Saturday 29 November, from 11am to 3pm, Church Street, Weybridge KT13 8DE.
In addition to all the activities on offer on the day, the Weybridge Community Hub, now settled into its new home on the first floor of the Weybridge Library Hub, will be sharing space with Elmbridge Museum, who will be running hands-on activities throughout the day.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Mend and Do workshop
Inspired by the 1942 wartime campaign, this activity focuses on saving resources and creative upcycling. Try your hand at thrifty sewing with scrap fabric and take home ideas for sustainable crafting.
- Museum discovery
Explore fascinating objects from Elmbridge Museum’s local history collection and uncover stories from the past.
Alongside these activities, you’ll have the chance to meet the Weybridge Community Hub team and learn more about their programme, including:
- quizzes and bingo
- gentle chair-based exercise
- arts and crafts and flower arranging
- live music sessions
- weekly rhyme café for an intergenerational experience
If you want to see more activities on the programme, please share your ideas. They’d love to hear from you!
Plus, enjoy a little extra treat: hot drinks and a tempting hot food menu are available to keep you warm and cosy during your visit.
