Christmas comes to St Johns Community Garden

Sign stating 'Welcome to your Community Garden' with flowers across the bottom.

Christmas magic has arrived at St Johns Community Garden in Walton, in the form of a new garden sign, Christmas tree and festive lights.

Gary Bennett, our garden champion, has been working in partnership with PA Housing, Surrey County Council, and the Police Crime Commissioner and the festive decorations have been provided through the Safer Streets fund.

In the summer, St John’s Community Garden underwent improvements including new flowerbeds, vegetable patches and a bug hotel to encourage wildlife and support biodiversity in the area.

The community garden remains open for all residents to pot, water, and grow plants, enabling new skills and providing a safe, secluded space to meet.

Community Garden Location:
Outside Walton Mart,
St Johns Drive
