Accommodation
If you are homeless and have a priority need, we will need to secure accommodation for you. We will try and accommodate you in Elmbridge whenever we can but there is very limited temporary accommodation within the borough. We often need to make placements in bed and breakfast or nightly paid accommodation outside the borough.
If we find accommodation for you outside Elmbridge, we will move you back into the borough as soon as we can, but this may take some time due the demand for temporary accommodation.
Any accommodation that is secured needs to be suitable for you. Our policy explains how we decide if accommodation is suitable and how a decision is reached about priority to place in borough, or place back within the borough but this is limited by the supply of accommodation we can access:
