Handyperson service

Many older or vulnerable people find it difficult to carry out odd jobs around the home and don’t have anybody they can ask to help.

About the service

Care and Repair Elmbridge (CARE) has a handyperson who has been DBS checked and offers an affordable and reliable service.

Examples of work include:

  • minor plumbing repairs
  • fitting shelves

  • fitting key safes - £63 from 1 April 2023

Other types of work can also be carried out, provided they take no longer than an hour.

We aim to complete most jobs within two working days. Sometimes, it may be up to two weeks before we can carry out the work, depending on the demand for the service and availability of materials.
