We’re carrying out a new Polling Districts and Polling Places Review due to changes following the Local Government Boundary Commission’s review of the Surrey County Council boundaries and in preparation for the planned creation of two new unitary councils in Surrey.
This review replaces the one undertaken in January 2025, the implementation of which was postponed after the government announced plans for local government reorganisation.
The updated review ensures polling arrangements align with new electoral boundaries and allows the (Acting) Returning Officer to manage multiple election types efficiently.
The review is open from 12 December 2025 to 19 January 2026.

Any new polling districts and polling places will become effective at all elections held after 1 February 2026.
We will notify electors if there have been any changes to their polling place.
Previous reviews
In 2023 a compulsory review of polling districts and polling places used for elections in the borough was being carried out for use at future elections. We invited comments from all electors regarding the convenience of voting in our polling places and welcomed suggestions for alternative sites.
