Below is an example of our offering for stroke support at the Walton Centre for the Community:

The Walton Stroke Group offers a selection of activities every Monday including:

  • entertainment such as quizzes and bingo
  • guest speakers
  • outings
  • physiotherapy
  • lunch and dessert that is prepared by the centre at a cost of £5.40

Members value the support the group has to offer, one member of the group said: "I was part of the first committee of the stroke group in 1987 as a volunteer. I then had a stroke myself, which left my right arm paralysed. The stroke group has been a wonderful part of my life ever since, with its outings, holidays and weekly meetings."

A physiotherapist is available solely for the stroke group on Monday mornings and afternoons and has access to gym equipment that can help to support you with your mobility after your stroke.
