About us
Elmbridge Dementia Services operates as part of Elmbridge Borough Council, to provide care and stimulation for those living with Dementia and respite for carers and family members. Our dedicated specialist team provide engaging activities and social interaction to enhance their wellbeing, encourage their independence and retain their life skills.
From each initial assessment we find out about the person’s life history, emotional and physical needs, mobility, interests and hobbies, worries or anxieties and important people in their lives. This allows us to tailor our social groups to meet individual needs with a range of activities and reminiscence sessions, but most importantly we provide a chance for members to meet new friends and socialise in a safe and relaxed environment. If members want to just soak up the atmosphere or read the paper whilst their carer has a break, they are welcome to do so.
