If you live alone or are the only person over the age of 18 living in your property, you can apply for a discount of 25%.

If you are letting us know that you are the only adult in the household because someone has died, check reporting a death to find out what you need to do first.
Changes that may affect your entitlement
You must tell us within 21 days of any circumstance that may affect your entitlement. For example:
- someone moving in or out of the property
- another person in the house reaching the age of 18
- the premises being sold or let
- reporting a death
