Elmbridge Local Support Scheme
We are providing up to £500,000 to support vulnerable households with increased costs during the summer and winter through the Elmbridge Local Support Scheme.
Pension Credit
Pension Credit gives extra money for pensioners to bring their weekly income up to a minimum amount.

Breathing Space
Breathing Space is a government debt respite scheme which gives you legal protections from creditor action for up to 60 days. The protections include pausing most enforcement action and contact from creditors and freezing most interest and charges on their debts.

This includes income and disability benefits, bills and allowances, childcare, housing and travel.
Crisis and Resilience Fund
In December 2025, the UK government announced the Crisis and Resilience Fund. This fund replaces the Household Support Fund, which ended in March 2026.
Local authorities in England use the fund to
- help people on low incomes facing sudden money problems
- support activities that help people and communities become more financially secure
