We are providing up to £500,000 to support vulnerable households with increased costs during the summer and winter.
You do not need to apply. We will contact you if you are eligible.
Summer payment
You will get a payment of £100 if, on 1 June 2026, your household meets both of the following:
- receives Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support
- includes a child under 16
We will contact eligible summer payment households by 20 June 2026.
If we have your bank details, we aim to pay you by 15 July 2026.
If you need to provide or update your bank details, or if payment is made to your Council Tax account, we aim to pay you by 30 July 2026.
You do not need to contact us if we hold the correct bank details for you. If you need to provide your bank details, follow the steps on this page.
Only one summer payment will be made per household. Your bank statement will show a reference starting with EBCLSS.
Winter payment
You will get a payment of £100 if, on 1 November 2026, your household meets both of the following:
- receives Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support
- includes a child under 16, or a pensioner
We aim to pay winter payment households in December 2026.
You do not need to contact us if we hold the correct bank details for you. If you need to provide your bank details, follow the steps on this page.
Only one winter payment will be made per household. Your bank statement will show a reference starting with EBCLSS.
Submitting your bank details
We do not hold bank details for all eligible households. If you are eligible for a summer payment and we need your bank details, we will contact you by 20 June 2026.
To submit your bank details:
- Sign into My Account.
- Select Submit a request (top right-hand corner of the Your Account page).
- Choose Browse all forms or Find a form.
- Search for Elmbridge Local Support Scheme 2026 form.
- Complete and submit the form.
