Collection crews will start bin collection rounds up to 30 minutes earlier on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday due to hot weather. Please put bins out the night before.
Rubbish collection
Information about rubbish collections and what can and can't go in your rubbish bin.
Your rubbish bin is either an all green or all black wheelie bin and is collected every 2 weeks.
Please put your bin out by 6:30am on your collection day.

What can go in the rubbish bin
You can put these items in your rubbish bin:
- rubbish that cannot be recycled using any of our other services
- disposable nappies and hygiene products
- face masks
What cannot go in the rubbish bin
The following items cannot go in your rubbish bin:
- soil and stones
- paint tins
- hazardous materials
- chemicals
- asbestos
- business waste
- food waste
- garden waste
- needles and sharps
- non-disposable nappies
Most items, other than business waste and sharps, that can’t go in the rubbish bin can be disposed of at your nearest community recycling centre.
