Dog fouling

How to report dog fouling for clean up, or report a dog fouling offence.

  • Report dog fouling for clean up
  • Report a dog fouling offence

It is an offence for a person in charge of a dog to fail to clean up after their pet in a public place. It can result in a Fixed Penalty Notice of up to £100 and court costs up to £1,000, if unpaid.

We will use the reported data to take the necessary enforcement steps or apply for Public Spaces Protection Orders in areas where the disturbance is:

  • persistent
  • continuing in nature
  • is, or is likely to be, unreasonable
  • justifies the restrictions being imposed
