Environmental health and licensing enforcement policy

Read our policy on environmental health and licensing enforcement.

This policy sets out environmental health and licensing’s approach to securing compliance with regulatory requirements, including:

  • environmental protection
  • food safety
  • infectious disease
  • health and safety at work
  • licensing

Through the operations of its environmental health and licensing team, the council seeks to ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations to protect the public, the environment, businesses, consumers and workers. It applies to all areas of environmental health and licensing where the council can enforce against a person, organisation or company to make them comply with the law.
