We hope all participants are having fun learning new sports skills and we look forward to the big event on 18 June.

Elmbridge Surrey Youth Games 2022

After a break for the COVID-19 pandemic, the Games are back for 2022 with some exciting new activities. Training has started after Easter in every one of the 10 Surrey boroughs and districts currently taking part. The training sessions will lead to a final, celebratory event at the Surrey Sports Park in Guildford on 18 June.

What are the Specsavers Surrey Youth Games?

They are traditionally the largest multi-sport youth event in the South East of England outside of school schemes

  • They offer free local training for those taking part.
  • This programme is for 6-16 year olds from Surrey's boroughs and districts who often don't have access to the sort of sports activities or opportunities that others take for granted.
  • The Games are aimed at beginners who might not otherwise get the chance to attend clubs
  • They encourage those who might be put off by the thought of competitions to participate
  • The focus of the training and the final celebration is on joining in, having a go and having fun

The sports on offer in Elmbridge for 2022 were judo, girls football, tennis, dance, swimming and basketball.
