Football pitch hire: recreation grounds

To book a football pitch at our recreation grounds, you will need to submit your request at the beginning of the season. Priority will be given to regular hirers.

To make a booking, email leisure@elmbridge.gov.uk.

When booking one of the recreation ground football pitches:

• you will be asked to upload a copy of your organisation’s Public Liability Insurance with a minimum indemnity limit of no less than £5 million cover
• ad-hoc bookings (less than 5 bookings per request) must be paid online at the time of booking
• regular bookings (5 or more per request) will be payable by invoice

Bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis, either for a block booking playing season, occasional games or on an ad-hoc basis.

You can hire football pitches at:

• Coronation Recreation Ground - pitches 1, 2, 3 and 4 (pitch 4: 80 yards x 50 yards)
• Elmgrove Recreation Ground - pitch 1
• Long Ditton Recreation Ground - pitches 1, 2, 3 and 4 (pitch 4: 60 yards x 40 yards)
• Lower Green Recreation Ground - 2 pitches - youth U15/U16 11 v 11
• Molesey Hurst Recreation Ground - pitches 1 and 2
• West Molesey Recreation Ground - pitch 1

Cancel a booking

To cancel a booking, email leisure@elmbridge.gov.uk by the end of the Tuesday before the week the match is due to take place. Refunds will not be issued for matches cancelled by hirers after this time.

Fees 2025 to 2026

All football bookings made for the 2025/26 Season will be payable in full within 30 days of receipt of your invoice. Please note that the pitch will not be prepared and your booking will not be confirmed without payment.
