On 18 March 2026, the council adopted the Claygate Vision and Action Plan as part of its wider placemaking ambitions, centred on Elmbridge’s people and their needs, aspirations and visions for their communities.

Engaging with our communities
A draft vision and action plan was available for public consultation from Thursday 3 April to Thursday 1 May 2025. The Commonplace consultation hub was used to publish the draft Vision and Action Plan, including a survey for respondents to complete. An in-person drop-in session was held also on 23 April 2025, from 4pm to 7pm at the Claygate Village Hall.
