New re-deployable cameras
Elmbridge has purchased and installed 5 re-deployable CCTV cameras using funding from Safer Streets.
The cameras have been installed around Walton-on-Thames and will remain in their positions for at least 6 months.
The aim of these cameras is to deter antisocial behaviour, illegal parking and street drinking, as well as provide video evidence where needed to Surrey Police, Surrey County Council and the Elmbridge Borough Council environmental enforcement team. These cameras are not monitored, but footage is reviewed when a request is made.
