When you sign up for planning alerts, you'll be asked to:
- add your contact details
- choose the address you want to get nearby planning application alerts for
- set a search area (100, 250, 500 or 1,000 metre radius, measured from the mapped centre point of your saved address)
- choose whether to include decided applications in your alerts
How planning alerts work
Alerts are based on the mapped centre point of a planning application and whether it falls within your selected search area.
For larger sites, this means you might not get an alert for a nearby application if its mapped centre point falls outside your chosen area.
After you sign up
You will get an email alert the day after a planning application in your chosen area is registered or decided (if you choose to include decisions).
If there are no new applications or no changes to an existing application, you will not receive an email alert.
Add noreply@elmbridge.gov.uk to your contacts to help make sure alerts do not go to your spam or junk folders.
