In December 2022, Council approved the off-street car parking strategy, which reflects the council’s ambitious and innovative approach.
The council has a wide range of car parks across town and village centres, almost every car park has a different issue. Our transformative approach highlighted in this document will evaluate each car park to help deliver our vision of achieving environmentally sustainable, and economically thriving communities.

The views of our residents and businesses about car parking services is very important to us. During 2022, we undertook an extensive online consultation survey, and the results have helped us to create and develop the objectives detailed in the strategy.
