Taxi user survey

A survey button on a keyboard

This consultation has now closed. Thank you for your comments. We will have an update in March.

Let us know how and why you use taxis in Elmbridge. Do you rely on your local taxi firm for school runs? Maybe it’s more for shopping trips? That early morning dash to the airport? Or for a night out with friends?  Whatever the answer, please let us know and help us to further understand the private hire and taxi usage in Elmbridge.

We are responsible for licensing taxi and private hire vehicles, drivers and operators within Elmbridge as well as promoting a safe, reliable and consistent service to support public safety.

We recognise that the Elmbridge taxi and private hire sector provides a valuable service to residents and visitors within the borough, and we want to ensure that this service is maintained to the benefit of residents, visitors and taxi and private hire businesses.

We are also fully aware that the Elmbridge private hire and taxi trade faces a number of current challenges including the impact of increased vehicle running costs and competition from out of borough operators.

In further understanding how our residents use their local taxi and private hire services, we can take steps to support the industry in better meeting customer demand..
