Public consultation on the Lower Mole Flood Alleviation Scheme

The Environment Agency are running a public consultation from 15 August to 6 November 2024 to gather feedback on their proposals and to identify the preferred option on the Lower Mole Flood Alleviation Scheme.

The Lower Mole Flood Alleviation Scheme is located on the River Mole between Hersham and East Molesey. Built in the 1980s, it was designed to reduce flood risk to the communities on the Lower Mole and protect homes and businesses in the area from flooding.

Your views are vital in helping to shape the future of the rivers. You can get involved by attending one of our drop-in events, where members of the project team will be available to answer your queries and information on the options for the Lower Mole Flood Alleviation Scheme will be on display.

These events will be held on:

  • Tuesday 20 August 2024, 4pm to 8pm at the Vine Hall, Vine Road, Molesey, East Molesey, KT8 9LF

  • Wednesday 11 September 2024, 3pm to 6pm in the Committee Rooms at Elmbridge Civic Centre, 1 High Street, Esher, KT10 9ST

  • Saturday 12 October 2024, 3pm - 6pm at All Saints Church, Weston Green, Chestnut Ave, Esher KT10 8JL
