Elmbridge Community Lottery

Elmbridge Community Lottery is a weekly lottery that directly supports local good causes and community initiatives.

Lotteries are a fun and effective way for causes to raise much-needed funds in these difficult times. By getting more people on board, they don’t just raise funds, they also raise awareness.

So far, the Elmbridge lottery has raised over £145,000 for causes operating in Elmbridge and has built up a substantial amount in the Community Fund.

When you play Elmbridge Community Lottery you 60% of your ticket price goes to good causes (more than double what the National Lottery gives) and the money raised is going to good causes that benefit your local community.

The funding raised in the community fund will be spent, based on need, on providing support to a wide range of local organisations and community initiatives which have a beneficial impact on the local community. Expressions of interest can be raised with lottery@elmbridge.gov.uk

The Elmbridge Community Lottery continues to support many people and groups across the borough.

Groups that have benefited recently are:

  • Oatlands Bowling Club, near Weybridge, which used the funding it received from the lottery to help pay towards green maintenance and hedge cutting which is essential to the success of the club.
  • The Friends of Long Ditton Junior School, who used their recent funding to create a new sensory garden.

Groups are reporting that they find the lottery simple to join, well run with minimal administration for them. A positive experience for all.
