A message from the Elmbridge Borough Council

Exterior of the civic centre

Elmbridge Borough Council condemns the terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel that has led to the murder of an estimated 1,400 innocent people, including six Britons with another ten still missing. We are saddened by the escalating crisis in Israel and Gaza, as well as the rise in anti-semitism that has followed. We offer our sympathies to the victims, their families, and the communities impacted. As a mark of respect, the Council flag is flying at half-mast at the Civic Centre. We respect and support diversity in our community and ask for calm and understanding at this time.

The British Red Cross has launched an emergency appeal to support the people affected by the humanitarian crisis in the region, should you wish to donate.
