Happy 3rd Birthday to the Elmbridge Community Lottery!

A graphic showing that it is the Elmbridge Community Lottery's 3rd Birthday

Since its launch three years ago, the Elmbridge Community Lottery has raised over £100,000 for the local community, and more than £22,000 has been given away in winnings. So far, 91 local good causes have signed up as part of a fun and effective way to raise funds for their valued services in the community.

You can win weekly cash prizes up to the £25,000 jackpot for just £1 per ticket. 50% of the £1 ticket goes directly to the cause of your choice, with a further 10% going to the community fund. This is used to further support local good causes.

Molesey Juniors FC is a great example of a cause that benefits from being a part of the Elmbridge Community Lottery. A junior grassroots football club, Molesey Juniors FC provides children with healthy activities that teach sportsmanship and teamwork. The team of volunteers strives to keep the cost as low as possible to make MJFC and competitive sport accessible to all, and the Elmbridge Community Lottery allows them to keep their prices affordable.

Councillor Bruce McDonald, Portfolio Holder for Policy and Transformation comments:

“Good causes not only benefit from receiving 50% of the profits from ticket sales from their page, but they have also spoken about how much they appreciate receiving a host of marketing materials, as well as their own Elmbridge Community Lottery web page to share with friends and family.

“I’m so pleased to see the continuing success of the Elmbridge Community Lottery, and I look forward to seeing more of the Elmbridge community become involved in the near future.”
