Rising cost of living

Exterior of the Elmbridge civic centre

According to figures issued recently, 80% of households in England had received their £150 council tax rebate. However, at the end of July the figure stood at 96% in Elmbridge. That’s 96% of eligible households in the borough having received their much needed £150 council tax rebate.

At a time when families are struggling to cope with the rising cost of living, both the Administration and officers have prioritised supporting those most in need in our borough.

We are also launching a cost of living support hub on our website, signposting our residents to advice and grants to help with bills, home and energy costs, the household support fund, as well as mental health and wellbeing support.

When they need us most, Elmbridge Borough Council will be there for the most vulnerable in our community.

Cllr Bruce McDonald
Deputy Leader, Elmbridge Borough Council
