Small society lotteries

How to register a small society lottery.

A small society lottery is a lottery that is promoted for the benefit of a non-commercial society (such as a charity or similar non-profit making organisation) to raise funds for any of the purposes of the society or organisation.

Small society lotteries do not require a licence but must be registered with the licensing authority in the area where the Society's principle premises is situated.

Applications

To apply to register a small society lottery, complete the application form and return with the required documents and the appropriate fee.

The maximum prize per ticket in either money or monies worth is £25,000.
