Shout! Stay and Play drop-in session

Join the Shout! team for a variety of fun activities, games, sports and crafts.

Time: 10am to 1pm
Location: Cobham recreation ground, Lushington Drive, Cobham, KT11 2AY

No booking required.

Wednesday 29 July

Museum Explorers: History unearthed 

Join the Elmbridge Museum team to celebrate the Festival of Archaeology and learn how objects from Oatlands Palace were recycled during its construction and demolition. Stay and take part in some craft activities.  

Time: 11am to 12pm (session 1) and 1pm to 2pm (session 2)
Location: Walton library, 54 The Heart (off Hepworth Way), Walton on Thames, KT12 1GH

Booking through the museum website is recommended but not necessary.


Shout! Stay and Play drop-in session and riverside walk

Join the Shout! team for a variety of fun activities, games, sports and crafts. Alternatively, you can get into nature and join the riverside walk.

Time: 10am to 1pm
Location: Hurst Park, Sadlers Ride, East Molesey KT8 9AZ

No booking required.

Car-pooling or public transport is encouraged. Parking is available at Sadlers Ride car park

Tuesday 5 August

Museum Explorers: Chip, Chip, Hooray! 

The Elmbridge Museum team will look at how National Choc Chip Cookie Day is celebrated by investigating items from its collection and inviting you to participate in some interesting challenges

Time: 11am to 12pm (session 1) and 1pm to 2pm (session 2)
Location: Esher Library, Old Church Path, Esher, KT10 9NS (the library is situated behind the High Street shops, across the car park from Elmbridge Civic Centre)

Booking through the museum website is recommended but not necessary.

Wednesday 5 August

Museum Explorers and Shout! activities: National Play Day

The Elmbridge Museum team in partnership with Shout! is celebrating National Play Day by inviting you to participate in the Elmbridge Challenge - a series of physical activities where you will compete against yourself

Time:  11am to 1pm
Location: Lower Green Recreation Ground, Farm Road, Esher, KT10 8AU
Dress: this is an outdoor event so please dress accordingly

Booking through the museum website is recommended but not necessary.

Museum Explorers: Stronger Together

Come and see how the Elmbridge Museum team are celebrating International Youth Day by looking at archival photographs from its collection and then take part in some teamwork challenges

Time: 11am to 12pm (session 1) and 1pm to 2pm (session 2)
Where: Weybridge Library, Church Street, Weybridge, KT13 8DE (the library is situated opposite the Weybridge Post Office)

Museum Explorers: Every Picture Speaks

Join the Elmbridge Museum team to explore some photographic artefacts from the collection and take part nature walk photography challenge to celebrate World Photography Day

Time: 11am to 12pm (session 1) and 1pm to 2pm (session 2)
Location: Meet out the front of Elmbridge Xcel Leisure Centre, Waterside Drive, Walton-on-Thames, KT12 2JG
Dress: this is an outdoor activity so dress accordingly
Bring: a small digital camera or mobile phone

Have you ever wondered about early forms of communication? Join the Elmbridge Museum team as they investigate the beginnings of semaphore and its connections to the borough. Stay and enjoy some craft and physical challenges

Time:  11am to 12pm (session 1) and 1pm to 2pm (session 2)
Where: Weybridge Community Hub, Church Street, Weybridge, KT13 8DE (the community hub is on the first floor above the library)
