Overview
You can choose how you vote in elections. If you cannot vote in person, you may be able to:
- vote by post – apply for a postal vote and receive your ballot by post
- vote by proxy – ask someone you trust to vote on your behalf
- apply for an emergency proxy vote – if something unexpected happens after the proxy deadline and you cannot vote in person
