Meals on wheels

COVID-19 service status

Due to the high volume of referrals we are receiving at present as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, we are currently prioritising the meals on wheels service for those residents who have no other means of support. Please only refer to the service if a person:

  • is unable to cook for themselves.

  • does not have relatives living under 30 minutes away who are able to deliver food/shopping to them

For those residents with local relatives who are self-isolating, we are able to provide the service for three weeks.

For further information, please our coronavirus (COVID-19) page.

We deliver a meals on wheels service to people in Elmbridge and Mole Valley (Leatherhead, Bookham and Fetcham areas only) who are unable to prepare meals. The service can be provided up to seven days a week, for as long as required. Our meals on wheels service can also offer a breakfast and supper service.

The following criteria applies:

  • housebound and unable to shop for a main meal
  • at risk of malnutrition; not motivated to cook
  • unaware of time and/or need for regular meals, where there is clear evidence of confusion
  • living with an elderly carer who requires assistance
  • to enable and maintain personal independence
