Dial-a-Ride journeys resuming
Due to current government restrictions to help control the COVID-19 outbreak, our Community Transport Services are currently suspended.
However, we remain committed to supporting those who rely on our services to get out and about, and are looking to resume our Dial-a-Ride service from 17 August.
Up to two passengers from the same household will be able to book a journey to attend hair appointments, go on shopping trips or visit friends and family.
For more information, visit our Dial-a-Ride webpage.
For updates on the status of all Council services, please see our coronavirus (COVID-19) webpage.
If you are interested in hiring a wheelchair accessible mini-bus, we run a cost effective service for half-day and full day outings.
The buses are only for hire by the centres for the community, social clubs and other non-profit making organisations within the Borough of Elmbridge requiring accessible transport.
Our service has become a firm favourite with many of Elmbridge's clubs and organisations. It can be booked for up to 16 ambulant passengers. Seats can be removed to convey wheelchair-seated passengers.
Costs vary depending on the time and distance of travel. For example, a weekday outing travelling up to a total of 30 miles and lasting up to 6 hours costs £85 for community groups.
Let us know your exact requirements and we would be happy to provide a written quotation.
Hire-a-bus is just one of the services provided by the Elmbridge Community Transport Scheme, including Dial-a-Ride shopping trips and our Community Cab Service.
