Energy Bills Support Scheme Alternative Funding (EBSS AF)
The government has launched a new scheme called the Energy Bills Support Scheme Alternative Funding (EBSS AF).
Applications can only be made centrally at: GOV.UK: Apply for energy support if you do not get it directly

After applying
We will be approving applications and making payments on behalf of the government.
The government portal will update you about the progress of your application by email or letter.

Energy Price Guarantee
The price cap is being replaced with the Energy Price Guarantee. The Energy Price Guarantee will ensure that a typical household in Great Britain pays an average £2,500 a year on their energy bill, for the next 2 years, from 1 October 2022.
The consumer saving will be based on usage, but a typical household will save at least £1,000 a year (based on current prices from October).

Water bills
WaterSure is a scheme which helps some people with their water bills. To apply for the scheme, you must be on benefits and need to use a lot of water either for medical reasons or because your household has a certain number of school-age children. You also need to be on a water meter or be waiting to have one installed.
