Hersham Centre will be temporarily closed from Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 May while building works take place. Clients who usually attend or travel to the centre via Community Transport will be contacted and offered the option to attend another centre. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while these improvements are carried out.
Room hire at the centre:
Please note, we are not taking new bookings at the moment. This is because the centres are in the process of transitioning to new Community Hub partners, who will be responsible for managing bookings and activities in the future.
Once the new arrangements are in place, Community Hub partners will be able to confirm future availability and hire options. We will update this page as soon as more information is available.
Hersham Centre for the Community aims to promote an active and full life for residents, offering a range of leisure activities and opportunities to learn new skills.

Opening hours
The Hersham Centre is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 3pm. Our Centre Team provides a range of activities and services, as well as meals from our Community Café, and hair/beauty/foot care services are also available.
Meal services
All our Centres provide a hot meal service. Hersham Centre operates a Community Café which provides a selection of hot meals. Brunch is served from 10am to 11am and lunch is served from 11:45am to 12:45pm. Pop into the Centre and check out our latest menu to see what's on offer.
Membership
To use the centre's facilities, you will need to have a valid membership, which also entitles you to a community discount card. An annual membership costs £21.50 for an Elmbridge resident. We will ask you to complete a membership form to ensure that you can attend our centre independently and safely. Your Centre for the Community membership will automatically continue from 1 April 2026 and there will be no charge from that date. There’s nothing you need to do. Just continue to visit and keep enjoying the activities at your local centre.
