The Hersham Centre remains closed until 13 March while essential building works continue. Although the centre was originally expected to reopen on 10 March, the works have not yet been completed and the building must remain closed until Monday 16 March when it is safe to welcome clients back.
Clients who normally use the Hersham Centre are being contacted directly, and where needed, arrangements are being made for them to attend other Centres for the Community during this extended closure period.
We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while this essential work is finished.
Hersham Centre for the Community aims to promote an active and full life for residents, offering a range of leisure activities and opportunities to learn new skills.
Activities and events programme
Opening hours
The Hersham Centre is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 3pm. Our Centre Team provides a range of activities and services, as well as meals from our Community Café, and hair/beauty/foot care services are also available.
Meal services
All our Centres provide a hot meal service. Hersham Centre operates a Community Café which provides a selection of hot meals. Brunch is served from 10am to 11am and lunch is served from 11:45am to 12:45pm. Pop into the Centre and check out our latest menu to see what's on offer.
Membership
To use the centre's facilities, you will need to have a valid membership, which also entitles you to a community discount card. An annual membership costs £21.50 for an Elmbridge resident. We will ask you to complete a membership form to ensure that you can attend our centre independently and safely. Your Centre for the Community membership will automatically continue from 1 April 2026 and there will be no charge from that date. There’s nothing you need to do.
