Service update: changes at the centre
From 17 August 2026, as part of the Connected Communities programme, Walton Charity has taken ownership of the Cobham and Walton Centres for the Community, helping to secure the future of these community spaces in Elmbridge.
Following a short period of closure for maintenance and repairs, both Centres are preparing to reopen as Community Hubs in partnership with the Cobham Community Hub CIC and Voices of Hope.
The new Community Hubs will provide welcoming spaces for local people of all ages, creating more opportunities to connect, take part in new and existing activities, and access support.
The Walton Community Hub will officially open on Tuesday 29 September with the Great Walton Get-Together, taking place from 2pm to 4pm. The event will bring local people together to enjoy afternoon tea and live music, while providing an opportunity to meet the teams from Voices of Hope and Walton Charity and learn more about their plans for the new community hub.
The Cobham Community Hub will also reopen in September, with the reopening date to be confirmed shortly.
