The Elmbridge GP referral scheme is run by Places Leisure on behalf of Elmbridge Borough Council.
The classes available are as follows:
Exercise referral classes
Location: Xcel leisure complex, Waterside Drive, Walton-on-Thames, KT12 2JG
Instructor: Sharon
Monday: 1.30pm - 2.30pm Cardiac rehab circuits
Tuesday: 11.45am - 12.25pm Cardiac rehab indoor cycling
Thursday: 9.30am - 10.25am Cancer and cardiac circuits
Friday: 12noon - 1pm Cardiac rehab circuits
3.30pm - 4.15pm Cardiac rehab indoor cycling

Strength and balance classes
Instructor: Sharon
Monday: 10am - 11am and 11am to 12noon
Thursday: 10.45am to 11.15am
Session types explained

Cardiac rehab: a group exercise class with a group warm up followed by a circuit where you will be on each work station for a minute, followed by a group cool down.

Circuits: A group exercise class where gym equipment (e.g. treadmill, bike) is used as part of the circuit
- Strength and balance class aimed at those worried about falling. Improve strength and balance in a friendly, relaxed and supportive group. Mainly standing exercises.
Note: All circuit classes have been designed specifically for cardiac rehab and to accommodate a vast number of referral reasons. The circuit can be adjusted to make each exercise easier or harder as appropriate or have an alternative exercise substituted where required.
